The University of Sheffield International Merit Scholarship provides financial aid to academically outstanding international students pursuing a bachelor’s degree program in the United Kingdom.
The scholarships are worth £10,000 and are dedicated to covering tuition fees for an undergraduate degree program. If you are selected for a merit scholarship, you will be guaranteed the award in your first year of study. Subsequently, you will continue to receive the scholarship in the following academic years so long as you maintain a score of 60% or above and have a minimum of 120 credits in the previous academic year.
Tuition Fees
As a domestic student pursuing undergraduate studies at the University of Sheffield, the annual tuition fee you will pay is £9,535. International students undertaking full-time studies are expected to pay tuition fees ranging from £22,680 to £29,110 (except for Medicine and Dentistry).
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicant must;
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have received an offer of admission to the University of Sheffield. All undergraduate degree courses are eligible except Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
- Prove English language proficiency.
- Be self-funded and eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee.
- Not be a sponsored student.
- Enter a degree program at the University of Sheffield in year 1 or 2.
- The University of Sheffield reserves the right to review and change scholarship provisions.
