The African Future Leader Scholarship is a program designed for postgraduate students at Imperial College Business School in the United Kingdom. It aims to support outstanding young African students with strong leadership potential in pursuing a full-time MBA at Imperial College London (ICL). There’s only a limited number of scholarships available so it is recommended that you apply in an earlier round.
The scholarship offer is valued at £20,000, which is dedicated towards tuition fee coverage for successful candidates. It also enables them to access world-class faculty, industry leaders, and an extensive alumni network.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees that students pay at Imperial College are subject to annual changes. The amount is determined by the student’s year of entry. What you should expect to pay for postgraduate program as an international student will be considerably higher than what domestic students pay, which is around £4,786.
Eligibility Criteria
For an applicant to be eligible for this scholarship, you must;
- Be residing in an African country.
- Demonstrate outstanding track record of leadership and/or leadership potential. This can be leadership displayed during studies, at work/internships or in your community
- Be ready for an interview with the panel
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the African Future Leader Scholarship will receive financial aid worth £20,000 towards the reduction of tuition fees. They will also have the opportunity to join a diverse, high-quality student body and access to world-class faculty and industry leaders.
Application Procedure
- The first step is to go to the portal
- Apply for admission to an MBA program at ICL
- If you apply for a full-time MBA program in rounds one to four, you will automatically be considered for this scholarship.
- There’s a limited number of scholarships available.
