The University of Sheffield Sanctuary Scholarship is a program designed to support individuals who have sought asylum in the United Kingdom. The fully funded scheme is available for undergraduate and postgraduate studies and provides an allowance for living expenses.
Candidates who are selected must have been displaced or affected by a conflict in their home country or have been forced to migrate to the UK. Financial aid will be provided once candidates are fully registered.

Eligibility Criteria
You’re eligible if you meet the following requirements:
- Be an international student seeking asylum in the UK
- Candidate must apply to an undergraduate or postgraduate course
- You should have received an offer of admission
- Applicant should be proficient in the use of English
- You are also eligible if you’re a dependent or the spouse of someone seeking asylum.
- You should not hold a degree equal to or higher than the one you are applying for.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the University of Sheffield Sanctuary scholarship will receive financial aid to cover full tuition fees and £10,300 to support living expenses annually.
