The University of Kentucky is a public university in Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Founded in 1865 by John Bryan Bowman as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Kentucky, it is one of the state’s two land-grant universities. The university is one of only eight institutions with a full range of liberal arts, medical, and professional programs and colleges on a single campus.
The University of Kentucky Scholarship program provides financial support for incoming first-year students, undergraduate and transfer students, graduate students, and Overseas Student Teaching program students.
Applications are open for students who wish to pursue bachelor’s degree programs and benefit from the fully funded University of Kentucky undergraduate scholarships in the United States.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be accepted to the University of Kentucky.
- Applicants must have a declared major in the College of Education.
- Applicants must fill out a scholarship application each year to be eligible for consideration for scholarship awards.
- Students must apply for a bachelor’s degree at the University of Kentucky College of Education.
Scholarship Benefits
All successful applicants will receive full coverage of their tuition fees and other expenses. They will be automatically considered for all College of Education scholarships for which they meet the criteria. Each available scholarship has specific criteria, which may include, but are not limited to, consideration of merit, declared major, geographic location, and financial need.
How to Apply
- Applicants who wish to be considered for need-based scholarships must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Apply and secure admission to the College of Education at the University of Kentucky.
- Students accepted to the university may apply for College of Education scholarships online using their link blue account information. How do I activate my Link Blue account?
- To apply, log in to Scholarship Universe using your LinkBlue credentials. In the search box at the very top by your name, type “College of Education.”
- Find and fill out the College of Education General Scholarship- Incoming Freshmen application.
- Any student who applies will receive an email stating whether they have been selected as a scholarship recipient or not.
