Universities in Netherlands Offering Scholarships to International Students

Suppose you are an international student who wants to study abroad in the Netherlands. In that case, you are on the right path because the country is very popular among foreigners who apply for undergraduate and graduate courses.

The main reason the Netherlands is one of the top study destinations in Europe is the good quality of higher education. Also, the tuition fees and cost of living are considerably lower than in countries in America and other parts of the European continent.

The most noteworthy aspect, which encourages thousands of applications annually, is the existence of scholarship opportunities. A good number of Dutch universities offer scholarships to international students, and Booklab24 has compiled a list of six institutions with the benefits that accompany the programs.

1. Maastricht University

UCM/MSP Tuition fee waiver

Maastricht University set up the University College Maastricht (UCM) and Maastricht Science Programme (MSP) to ensure that lack of finances does not prevent talented international students from accessing academic opportunities in The Netherlands. 54 percent of the 17,000 students at Maastricht University (UM) are foreign nationals from dozens of countries across all five continents.

Maastricht University recognizes that some applicants from non-EU countries may need help paying the UCM/MSP tuition fee, which is higher than the national tuition fee set by the Dutch government. The institution offers financial aid to students applying for Master’s degree programs.

Should be applying for the Liberal Arts & Sciences program of UCM or MSP.

You do not have access to subsidized loans.
