The Scholarship was established to promote educational opportunities and support talented applicants enrolling into foundation, undergraduate, or postgraduate programs for the first time at the University of Waikato.
Scholarship Benefits: The scholarship covers tuition fees and has a value of up to NZ$15,000 for bachelor’s and master’s students. At the same time, the PhD Scholarship value is as much as NZ$30,000 per year. This financial aid is tenable only within the year it is awarded.
3. University of Otago
The oldest institution in New Zealand, the University of Otago, offers fully funded scholarships via the Otago International Excellence program for students from overseas who want to obtain bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees. Up to 200 Scholarships will be awarded to successful applicants annually.
Scholarship Benefits: The value of this scholarship ranges from NZ$10,000 to NZ$30,000 for doctoral, postgraduate, and undergraduate study.
4. Victoria University of Wellington
Victoria University of Wellington is a public research university established in 1897 by Act of Parliament in Wellington, New Zealand. It started as a constituent college of the University of New Zealand.
The higher institution offers a range of partially funded scholarships to support international students. A top program Victoria University of Wellington Tongarewa provides is the Latin American Academic Achievement Scholarship, which supports high-achieving Latin American students who have gained a place in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at the university.
Scholarship Benefits: The Victoria University of Wellington scholarship covers tuition fees and is worth up to NZ$15,000 for bachelor’s and master’s students. The PhD is worth as much as NZ$30,000 per year.
5. Lincoln University scholarships
Lincoln University Scholarships are fully funded scholarships offered by the University of Lincoln, New Zealand, for international students. They are available for undergraduate and Master’s programs.
Lincoln University offers financial aid via the International Taught Master Merit Scholarships to international students applying for Master’s degree studies. The scholarships are awarded based on academic ability or achievement. Other factors may be considered, such as personal qualities, financial need, place of residence, and the intended course of study.

6. Auckland University of Technology

7. University of Canterbury
The University of Canterbury provides the First Year International and Eamon Molloy Memorial Scholarships. The institution supports top-achieving students from overseas who are starting an undergraduate degree program at the University of Canterbury. These partially funded scholarships are for one year, and up to twenty-five candidates may be selected as beneficiaries.

8. Massey University
Massey University Doctoral Scholarship. The higher institution offers scholarships for both domestic and international students to study for a bachelor’s or doctorate.
