University of British Columbia offers the UBC Public Scholars Award to enable international students pursue their studies in Canada. There are 30 to 35 scholarships available for doctorate programs under the Public Scholars Initiative (PSI), and they are open to renewal in the second academic year.
Founded in 1908, the University of British Columbia, fondly called UBC, is a public research university in British Columbia, Canada. The higher institution has two campuses near Vancouver and Kelowna.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must enroll in a PhD program at UBC
- Applicant must have a certificate for the previous level of study
- Candidate should be a foreigner
- Applicants must have completed no more than 48 months of doctoral study

Scholarship Benefits
There will be a research allowance and student stipend courtesy of this scholarship valued at $20,000. The fund will be disbursed in two installments of $10,000.
