Texas Tech University is a public research university formerly known as Texas Technological College. This higher institution which is located in Lubbock, Texas, United States, was founded in February 1923.
The 2025 Texas Tech University Freshman Presidential Scholarship is awarded to first-time bachelor-seeking students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance through test scores and class ranking. It is an annual scheme offered to participants in two installments based on merit.
If a student has received a previous scholarship offer and is selected to benefit from the Texas Tech Presidential Scholarship, it will replace any other offers. You must first apply for admission to the institution before being considered for the scholarships.
Tuition Fees
Students pursuing studies at Texas Tech University, USA should expect to pay tuition fees ranging from $21,180 to $24,451 for an academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be an incoming freshman.
- Applicant must be enrolled in full-time Texas Tech University program.
- Applicant must accumulate at least 30 TTU hours per year.
- Candidate must maintain the required CGPA to retain the scholarship.
- Candidate should be ready to write a thank you letter to the scholarship donor when and as directed by the Texas Tech University Scholarship Office.
- Candidate should be ready to attend required donor events.
Scholarship Benefits
As a beneficiary of the Texas Tech Freshman Presidential Scholarship, you will be awarded financial aid in two tranches. The first amount is one-half payable toward fall, while the second half will be paid toward spring terms. Non-residents awarded a Presidential Scholarship will also be paying in-state tuition.
