UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship in UK | 2026

The UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship is designed to enable and encourage international students from low-income backgrounds to pursue full-time undergraduate degree studies at University College London in the United Kingdom.

The scholarship provides fully funded awards that cover tuition fees and a maintenance allowance, as well as awards that cover full tuition fees only. It is open to eligible international students from all countries who are applying to study at UCL for the 2026/27 academic session.

Through this scholarship, UCL aims to support talented students who may not otherwise be able to afford the cost of studying in the UK, ensuring access to world-class undergraduate education.

To be eligible for the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

• Be eligible to pay the Overseas fee rate
• Come from a lower-income background
• Have submitted an admission application for a full-time undergraduate degree at UCL for the 2026/27 academic year

For the 2026/27 academic session, up to 33 UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarships will be awarded. These include:

• 10 scholarships covering full tuition fees, a maintenance allowance, and a fixed allowance for additional costs such as Immigration Health Surcharge and visa fees. The exact amounts for the maintenance and fixed allowances will be confirmed at a later date
• 23 scholarships covering full tuition fees only
• 3 scholarships covering full tuition fees specifically for students from India

The scholarship awards are applied for the duration of the undergraduate programme, subject to UCL’s terms and conditions.

To apply for the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must first have submitted an admission application to UCL. Eligible candidates should then follow the steps below:

• Log in to Portico using your normal details
• Click on the “View” button for the active application you wish to apply for funding for
• On the application screen, click on “Funding” in the menu at the top of the page
• On the funding page, click “Check and apply” under “Funds Available” to see which scholarships you are eligible for
• Click on the name of the scholarship scheme you wish to apply for and complete the application

For each programme you wish to apply for funding, a separate scholarship application form must be submitted.

The deadline to apply for the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship is April 28, 2026.
