To be eligible for the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Fund Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be nationals of, and resident in, low to middle income countries as defined by the World Bank
• Intend to return to a low to middle income country after completing their MSc at LSHTM
• Confirm in writing that they would not otherwise be able to fund the proposed programme of study
• Meet LSHTM’s minimum English language requirements as required by the admissions system
• Hold a first-class or upper-second-class honours undergraduate degree from a UK university, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard
• Hold an offer of admission for the 2025–26 academic year for one of LSHTM’s London-based intensive MSc programmes

The LSHTM Fund Scholarship for the 2026–27 academic year includes the following benefits:

• Full tuition fees at the overseas fee rate, including any mandatory field trip fees
• A tax-free living allowance of £22,500 per year

The application process for the LSHTM Fund Scholarship involves two required steps. Applicants must complete both steps by 23:59 GMT on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

• Submit an application for admission to a London-based MSc programme for the 2026–27 academic year through the relevant programme page
• After submitting the programme application, applicants will receive an automated email from the Scholarships Team with login details for the online scholarships portal
• Log into the scholarships application portal using the temporary password provided
• Search for “LSHTM Fund Scholarship” and complete the online scholarship application form
• Review all responses carefully and submit the application before the deadline
• Applicants will receive a confirmation email upon successful submission
• The Scholarships Team will communicate the outcome in due course
