Global Scholar at Marquette University 2026

About Scholarship
The Global Scholar award recognizes the importance of diverse worldviews and international perspectives within the Marquette University community. This competitive award covers tuition, housing and food, and student fees based on a student’s high academic achievement, demonstrated interest in global perspectives and the student’s potential for providing significant global contributions to the Marquette community. It is awarded annually to up to two talented international freshmen who will first enroll in the fall semester with F-1 visa status. Students in all academic fields will be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
- High school senior who will enter Marquette as a freshman (first-year).
- High school is located outside the United States.
- Minimum 3.25 GPA (on an unweighted 4.0 scale) in all college preparatory courses.
- Demonstrated leadership in curricular and extracurricular activities.
- International student who will enroll with non-immigrant F-1 visa status.
Scholarship Benefits
This fully funded scholarship for international students covers the following:
- Full tuition fees
- Housing and food expenses
- Student fees
Application Procedure
A separate scholarship application – in addition to the university admission – is needed for Global Scholar. You’ll have to collect these requirements:
- Global Scholar application
- Written Essay (300-500 words)
- 1 letter of recommendation
- School activities list or resume
Once you have those ready, follow these steps to submit your scholarship application and requirements:
- Apply for admissions
- Complete the requirements
- Prepare for a video interview
