The Aziz Foundation Scholarship offers full tuition fee funding to support British Muslims studying at universities in the United Kingdom. The scholarship is designed to help individuals who are committed to advancing in their careers while creating positive change within their communities and beyond.

The Aziz Foundation Scholarships are aimed at emerging leaders who demonstrate strong community involvement and the ability to lead and inspire in their chosen fields. The scholarship is only open to applicants who qualify for Home Fees status in the UK, and international students are not eligible to apply.

This fully funded UK scholarship supports postgraduate study and does not require IELTS. The application deadline for the Aziz Foundation Scholarship is May 15, 2026.

To be considered for the Aziz Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be eligible for Home Fees status in the United Kingdom
• Be active within a Muslim community and demonstrate strong knowledge of issues affecting British Muslim communities
• Demonstrate long-term commitment to community or societal development within Britain
• Show how the chosen course will increase effectiveness in one or more of the following areas relating to British Muslims:
  • Effective advocacy and enhancement of public perception by facilitating better representation of Muslims in civil society, combating Islamophobia, and positively transforming perceptions of British Muslims
  • Community service and social development by raising aspirations and standards within British Muslim communities

The Aziz Foundation Scholarship provides the following benefit:

• Full coverage of 100 percent tuition fee payment for Home Fees status students

This scholarship covers tuition fees only.

Applications for the Aziz Foundation Scholarship are submitted online.

The application form includes details of previous education, work experience, financial circumstances, a personal statement of no more than 1,000 words explaining how the applicant meets the Foundation’s criteria, and the names of two referees.

Applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to attend an interview lasting between 30 and 45 minutes. The interview will explore the following areas:

• Challenges facing British Muslims
• Vision and hopes for positive change
• Personal qualities required for success
• Financial barriers faced

• Media and Journalism for candidates seeking to champion diversity and fair representation
• Technology for innovators using technology to create transformational solutions to societal challenges
• Sustainability and Environment for candidates working towards protecting the planet and future generations
• Law for candidates aspiring to excel in the legal profession, excluding conversion courses
• Policy for candidates passionate about influencing public policy in the UK, excluding Health Policy
• Arts and Culture for creatives shaping public discourse around Muslims and Islam
• Sports for candidates contributing to the sports industry through administration and management

Applications for science, health policy, and mathematics courses will not be accepted.
