ABSTRACT

The research investigated The Socio-Religious Implication of Indecent Dressing Among Students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt. The research observed that indecent dressing is a provocative dressing or dress-to kill that is worn among students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. The research examined the history of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education and also the concept of indecent dressing in Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. The research explained the religious view of indecent dressing and also the types of indecent dressing in Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. The researchers also identify the reasons for indecent dressing among the students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, and also explained the effect of indecent dressing on the students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. The research also proffers solution to indecent dressing. The research adopts descriptive survey Method in Data Collection, presentation, analysis and discussion. The research concludes that parents
should teach their children how to dress decently from their tender age long before they enter the university. They should show them good examples.
