The Effect of Cultural Diffusion in Makurdi Metropolis

ABSTRACT

This work examined the effect of cultural diffusion in Makurdi Metropolise. The analytically and descriptive format was used in the work. The data collection sources were comprised of two major sources: primary and secondary sources. While the primary source involved the conduct of oral interviews, the secondary sources comprised of published works relating to the subject of investigation. The data collected were analysed critically and descriptively. This study explores the impact of cultural diffusion in Makurdi metropolis. Cultural diffusion refers to the spread of cultural traits from one society to another. The study examined the various ways in which cultural diffusion has affected the social and cultural landscape of the city. It study investigates the attitudes of residents towards cultural diffusion and the ways in which it has affected their daily lives. The findings of this study have important implications for policymakers and cultural institutions seeking to promote social cohesion in culturally diverse cities.
