Local Government Personnel Management System

ABSTRACT

The world has over recent years become globalised through electronic data processing and communication technology. There has been a revolution from manual and aging systems to more computerized systems in all areas of work. The need to extend this computerization wave to the area of personnel management for various kinds of organisation is not left out as it is clear that computerization brings about better time efficiency of activities and work in general. This project presents one of such steps by introducing an electronic personnel management system into the Nigerian local government council, modelling and developing a computerized personnel management system for Njaba local government council. The electronic system was developed using Microsoft ASP.NET Model, View and Controller (MVC) framework and Microsoft SQL server for data storage. The result obtained from the implementation showed that the use of the computerized system in the council enhances the operations of the various departments of the local government council and provides better results as compared to the old manual method.
