Background: The advent of corona virus disease (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has been a subject of concern around the world, and the World Health Organization labeled it a pandemic. It is very contagious and spreads through human-to-human contact via droplets or direct contact. Despite the fact that the disease is zoonotic, no intermediate host for transmission has been identified. Healthcare workers (HCWs) are at a higher risk of becoming sick and perhaps transferring COVID-19 to patients and visitors to health facilities since they are on the front lines of the response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Objectives: The study aimed at investigating Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Health Workers on Preventing Transmission of Covid-19 in Primary Health Care Centres (phcc) Gadau of Itas-Gadau, L.G.A, Bauchi State in Nigeria.
Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study design was used in this study to sample the opinion of respondents.

Result: Majority of the respondents; 49 (49.0%) were within the age range of 25-34 years, with the mean and standard deviation of 34±11.8 respectively, 73(73.0%) were Males, 63(63.0%) were married. Majority of the respondents 56(56.0%) were Community Health Workers, and 40(40.0%) almost one third of the study respondents were within the salary grade level 5-6. Majority of the respondents 97(97.0%) have received orientation on covid-19. Majority of the respondents 72(72.0.0%) have good Knowledge about Preventive Transmission of Covid-19 and Majority of the respondents 81(72.0.0%) have Good level of practice on Preventive Transmission of Covid-19.

Conclusion: It was therefore concluded that a clear knowledge, positive attitude and complied practices of health workers can increase the prevention of transmission of Covid-19 in Primary Health Care Centres.
