ABSTRACT

This work examines the relationship between insecurity and the use of Youths as tools in Nigeria with focus on the Ogbaru LGA, Anambra State. The study employed questionnaire method and relied mostly on primary data. The study noted that Insecurity which is one of the challenges facing the corporate existence and continued peace and stability of Nigeria is cause by the use of Youths as tools based on this, the study suggest amongst others the creation of opportunities and employment based on merit to avoid the youths being used. Second, provision of social security as unemployment compensation such that the unemployed graduates are paid N30, 000.00 every month for 1st degree holders, ND and NCE N20,000.00 and FSLC and SSCE N10,000.00 monthly; including youths that don’t have the opportunity of furthering their education. Government should as a matter of fact give the youths the chance to make their own decisions without being forced and also compensating the Ogbarus as well as Human security where the issue of poverty is eradicated in the country.
