ABSTRACT

In a developing country like Nigeria, training and development of manpower resources is highly needed in virtually all business organizations for its effectiveness. This research work titled “Impact of Manpower Training on Employee Performance” is aimed at determining the impact of training and development programmes on the employee’s performance in Katsina Local Government. The method used in collection if data is the Questionnaire method. Simple percentage table was used in the data analysis. The findings of the study shows that it is becoming increasingly important for organization to further embrace the necessity for training so as to survive the rapid economic and technical development be made an integral part of administrative culture rather than a political matter. The study further recommends that promotion of staff will contribute to their productivity, and proper training programs should be conducted in order to maintain a good working environment.
