ABSTRACT

This Project work describes the design and construction of an Internet-aided surveillance system for a Base Transmitter Station (BTS). The surveillance system is developed to ensure the security of the BTS by detecting and recording any intrusions and notifying the concerned authorities in real-time. This project work comprises of a motion sensor, Arduino Nano, ESP CAM, buzzer and two 3.7 V lithium ion battery. The motion sensors detect any movements around the BTS and send signal to the microcontrollers. The microcontroller then process the signal and sends notification to ESP CAM which turns on a surveillance camera and streams the image on a local webpage to authority concern as well as turn on a buzzer for alarm. The algorithm for this system was written using Arduino IDE which is C ++ language base. The live video stream from the camera is only accessible within the WI-FI range provided by the ESP CAM board. Overall, this thesis provides a comprehensive description of the design and construction of a Wi-FI-aided surveillance system for a BTS. The system has the potential to improve the security of the BTS and ensure the smooth functioning of telecommunication services.
