Assessment of the Effect of Traditional Medicine in the Body System

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of variables responsible for the effectiveness of traditional medicine in the body system. To the end, the researcher involved all 92 herbalists in Toro local government area of Bauchi state. The instrument used in the study was questionnaire made up 5 questions. The data collected was analyzed using statistical table and percentages for discussions. The study reveals that traditional herbs have some sides’ effects in the body system despite having recommendation by doctors in all angles. It can be concluded that bitter leaves cause liver attack and damage. The findings of the study reveals some of the types of traditional medicine in Toro local Government. These are Leaves, stems, and flowers of many plants are also medicinal, Moringa oleifera, bark—the outer protective layer of the tree stem or trunk, Aloevera plant, bitter plant or leaves and roots.
