The Mauritius Government awards fully funded scholarships to eligible students residing in an African Union member state. Students who wish to study for Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degrees in Mauritius will be selected and awarded grants based on criteria set by the Mauritius Africa Scholarship Scheme. The scholarship will support successful applicants by covering tuition fees and living expenses.
The nominating agency, usually part of the Ministry of Education, selects and nominates up to five candidates for various courses to pursue their degrees in different universities. Candidates are usually nominated by an agency or Ministry of Education in their country of nationality. The agency then sends the application to Mauritius.
Applications for the Mauritius Africa Scholarship must be addressed to the nominating agency in the applicant’s country of origin. The applicant cannot send them directly to the Government of Mauritius.
