There are different scholarship opportunities for international students looking to study law at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Canada, but this article focuses on those who want to obtain an LLB (Bachelor’s in Law).
Government-owned universities and other private organizations or foundations offer scholarships to international students in Canada, and each province has different student funding eligibility and scholarship benefits.
Below, we have outlined a number of scholarships and grants available to students around the world who wish to obtain a bachelor’s degree in law at any university in Canada.
What To Know Before Applying
If you are an international student applying for scholarships to study law in Canada, you will need to provide details and evidence of your academic record, such as your result of the Tertiary entrance exam (WAEC, SAT) or its equivalent, depending on your country of residence, university transcripts for previous courses, examples of your academic work, and letters of acceptance or enrolment at your law school—this is for Master’s (LLM) applicants.
Popular Scholarships In Canada
The provincial and federal government scholarships are among the most popular with all students. For example, the Ontario Graduate Scholarship is one of the top choices for international students studying in the city. However, few were created specifically for legal studies, and that is what we will be outlining here.
