Dartmouth College, founded in 1769, is a private Ivy League research university in the United States of America. Its campus is located in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dartmouth is one of the nine colonial colleges chartered before the American Revolution, and among its prominent alumni is Dr. Seuss.
The King Scholarship is a fully funded program that seeks to support low-income students from developing countries who are interested in and ready to commit to alleviating poverty in their home nations.
Dartmouth awards four-year scholarships via the King Scholars program to students pursuing bachelor’s degrees. Successful applicants also benefit from extensive mentoring and leadership training. Upon graduation, King Scholars return home to tackle poverty issues, supported by Dartmouth’s alumni network.

Scholarship Benefits
Beneficiaries attend Dartmouth for four years at no cost to them or their families. The College awards full scholarships to students, which include a tuition waiver, a new computer in the first year, and free health insurance. Additionally, King Scholars are entitled to annual travel between Dartmouth and the student’s home country.
King Scholars receive pre-orientation support and mentoring services to help them transition to College and ongoing academic mentoring throughout their Dartmouth careers.
All King Scholars participate in the First Year Student Enrichment Program, an intensive experience that prepares students to handle many of the challenges they will face during their first year. They are also part of a supportive and close-knit community of fellow Scholars and students.
