King Saud University, formerly Riyadh University, is a top-rated higher institution in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. King Saud bin Abdulalziz founded this public university in 1957 with the aim of addressing a shortage of skilled workers in the country.
The King Saud University Initiative Scholarship offers financial support to exceptionally talented students pursuing doctorate degrees in Saudi Arabia. It aims to attract talented and distinguished graduate students from Saudi Arabia and around the world to study at King Saud University (KSU).
It is a fully funded program that caters to PhD students’ tuition, accommodation, travel and other expenses. Successful scholars of the initiative may also be eligible for part-time job opportunities with support from the university.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must apply to a PhD program at Saud
- Applicant should be a foreigner or citizen
- Applicant must have a certificate for the previous level of study
- Applicants are required to prove language proficiency

Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the King Saud University Initiative Scholarship will be awarded full financial aid valued at $14,400. It will cover tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses.
