GSK Scholarships for Africans 2025/2026

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK plc) is a British multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company headquartered in London, England. GSK was founded in 2000 after Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham merged.

GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders offers total funding for talented students from sub-Saharan Africa to pursue a one-year, full-time Master’s program at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The scholarship covers tuition, mandatory field trip fees, and a living stipend.

Under the scheme, three scholarships are available to support the training and development of the next generation of global health leaders, with the aim of strengthening the capacity of health systems and health-related research in Africa.

Eligible candidates for these highly competitive scholarships must hold an offer for an intensive, London-based MSc program at LSHTM, meet academic and English language requirements, and demonstrate financial need.

The GSK Scholarships prioritize applicants who commit to returning to Africa after their studies to drive health improvements. Applications are open, and interested candidates who meet the requirements are invited to apply for a chance to study at an institution in the United Kingdom.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees paid at universities in the United Kingdom are different for undergraduate and graduate courses, as is common practice in other countries. Students pursuing bachelor’s degree programs in the UK will pay tuition fees between £ 11,400 and £38,000 per year. For graduate programs, international students typically pay tuition fees between around £9,000 and £30,000.
