Goldsmiths University of London is a UK higher institution established in 1891. It was acquired by the University of London in 1904 and renamed Goldsmiths’ College. The higher institution offers programs in various fields such as arts, design, computing, humanities, and social sciences.
The Goldsmiths’ University International Response Scholarship is a program designed to support refugees and asylum seekers with financial aid to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. Students will receive scholarship covering tuition fees and accommodation.
Tuition Fees
Domestic students enrolled in an academic program at Goldsmiths University of London typically pay tuition fees of about £8,040. However, if you are an international student, the cost of studying goes as high as £27,500 per academic year.
Eligibility Criteria

The requirements outlined below must be met to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Applicant must have refugee status in the UK or be an asylum seeker
- Applicant must have received an offer of admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate program at Goldsmiths.
- Postgraduate applicant must have a bachelor’s degree
- Undergraduate applicant should have a high school diploma/certificate
- Applicant must be eligible to study in the UK.
Selection process
The selection process is competitive, and it entails:
- The Scholarships Coordinator reviews applications based on eligibility criteria.
- A panel will choose from the eligible candidates based on skills, attributes, and experiences
The panel will consist of representatives from Admissions, Widening Participation, and the Immigration Advisory Service considers academic records and answers to the questions posed in the award application form. They will focus on content and relevance rather than the standard of writing.
Scholarship Benefits
The Goldsmiths University of London Scholarship offers recipients full tuition fee waiver and accommodation support (£200 weekly.) There will also be an allowance of £8,825 given to candidates each year. There are 4 scholarships to be awarded (two for undergraduates and two for postgraduates).
