The Erasmus Mundus Masters Impact Entrepreneurship Scholarship offers international students opportunities to develop expertise in integrated management and sustainable entrepreneurship. The 18-month EMMIE program will allow candidates to study master’s degree courses in universities across Europe, including Croatia, Lithuania, and Belgium.
EMMIE is a fully funded scholarship opportunity for future global business leaders, covering their tuition, travel, and living expenses during the program. The Erasmus Mundus EMMIE Scholarship 2025 presents a 90 ECTS program, and its curriculum is divided across three semesters—the first at the University of Zagreb (Croatia), which introduces essential management principles. The second at the University of Vilnius (Lithuania) delves into technology and innovation management. Meanwhile, the University of Liège (Belgium) focuses on entrepreneurship with an impact-driven approach.
The program starts at the University of Zagreb on September 1, 2025. Each student is free to arrive in Croatia when they wish; however, scholarship funding will begin on the first day of the program. Students are encouraged to come before the program starts to ensure sufficient time to register with the Croatian government and complete administrative duties.
Tuition Fees in Croatia
The program and institution determine tuition fees at public universities in Croatia and if the student is an undergraduate or graduate. For undergraduates, the tuition fee can range from €800 to €3,600 per year. The University of Zagreb charges a fixed fee of around €3,800 for English undergraduate courses. Graduate student’s tuition fees can vary significantly, but a master’s degree from a public university can cost up to €4,000 per year, while private universities may charge twice that amount.
Eligibility Criteria
- The EMMIE scholarship is open to students of any nationality.
- You are eligible if you have a recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- You are eligible if you have strong academic performance and relevant work experience, which are advantageous.
- You should present evidence of proficiency in English demonstrated through standardized tests.
- Candidates with a commitment to sustainability and impact-driven entrepreneurship are preferred.
Benefits of Scholarship
Beneficiaries will be awarded a scholarship that covers full tuition, lab fees, and administrative costs for the duration of the master’s program. The EMMIE scholarship will also provide the recipients with €1,400 monthly stipend for living expenses, Support for travel, accommodation, and health insurance across Croatia, Lithuania, and Belgium.

Essential Documents
The following documents will be required during the scholarship application:
- English translation of your birth certificate (if available)
- Passport photo
- Updated CV in English
- Personal motivation letter in English
- Copy of all higher education diplomas (Bachelor’s degree AND Masters degree if applicable)
- Transcript of records in ENGLISH.
- English Language Proficiency test. TOEFL and IELTS tests are accepted
- Two recommendation letters written by two different individuals.
- A one-page document describing the problem you plan to address, the solution you wish to implement, and your project’s current state of development.
- A residence certificate issued by the candidate’s municipality’s standard registration rules;
- A certificate from the candidate’s place of work, study, or training issued by the employer or institution in question.
- Without such documents, alternatives such as renting contracts, phone and electricity bills may be requested.
