The DREAM European Master Scholarship is a fully funded program under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s implemented and supported by four major European higher education institutions (HEI).
European Master in Dynamics of Renewables-based Power Systems (DREAM) is a two-year Master’s program that offers international students a multidisciplinary education in the dynamics and control of modern power systems.
The 2025-2027 DREAM Scholarship covers tuition and provides a monthly contribution to the costs incurred by the beneficiary students for travel, visa fees, installation, and subsistence.
DREAM scholarship is hosted by four major European Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in France, Germany, Spain, and Romania. These European universities that share a common vision of dynamics and control of modern power systems are:
- Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France
- Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain
- Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft, Germany
- National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, Romania
Tuition Fees in Europe
If you are a non-EU/EEA student pursuing a degree program at a public university in Europe, your tuition fee ranges from 727 euros to 7,500 euros per semester. For private universities, all international students typically pay around 6,000 to 15,000 EUR per academic year for a Bachelor’s degree and 3,000 to 23,000 EUR per academic year for a Master’s degree.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must;
- Be a student who already holds a first university degree with the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits (in the European system or equivalent) after at least three years of studies at the Bachelor of Science level in one of the following fields:
- Power Systems
- Smart Grids
- Renewable Generation
- Automatic control
- Power Electronics
- Graduation must occur before July 31 for non-European students and before September 30 for European students.
- Be fluent in English, both written and spoken. An applicant whose native language is not English is required to pass a recognized international English test.
- Applicants who studied in English are eligible without providing a language proficiency test result, but an official confirmation letter from their university is needed.
Required Documents
You should prepare the following necessary documents for the application:
- CV (Please indicate on your CV the courses and scores related to DREAM fields. You should explain where studies lasted longer than normally required by the diploma).
- Scan of the passport’s first pages or identity card
- Certified academic degrees
- Transcripts and diploma supplement (if available) of all university studies, with official translation in English
- Motivation letter (download mandatory template in Word | in PDF)
- Evidence of English proficiency with a recognised International English test Certificate
- Mobility preferences
- Proof of residence
- NB: The proof of residence must have been issued within 12 months before the submission deadline for applying for an EMJMD student scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits
- The DREAM Master Scholarship is fully funded. It will contribute to the costs incurred by the beneficiary students and shall cover travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs.
- It is calculated based on a monthly unit cost of €1400/month for the entire program period (24 months). This period covers study, research, placement activities, thesis preparation, and defense, in line with the joint Master’s requirement.
- Also, note that students selected as EMJM scholarship awardees will not be required to pay stipulated tuition fees.

- Register through an online platform.
- Fill out the application form.
- View and Submit
- The selection committee ranks the applicants into a main and reserve lists.
- Students on the main list are considered for an Erasmus Mundus or Consortium scholarship.
- Pre-selected candidates on the main list will be invited to participate in a video conference interview to exchange with the jury.
