When entering a university in the United Kingdom or Canada, most individuals choose courses they feel will be perfect or that will help them get employment as fast as possible immediately after completion. They, therefore, engage a good amount of theoretical approach.

1. Engineering
Engineering is the application of interdisciplinary mathematics and science to processes, systems, machines, and constructions to create safe, useful, and economical solutions to society’s problems. It is the study of math and science and how to utilize them to develop secure and practical designs. This is the most popular STEM program and a good one for those who do not feel like writing lengthy essays but can learn and apply engineering principles effectively.
After writing lab reports, most of your time will be spent with many numbers and formulas. Engineering, similarly to architecture, is not concerned with the aesthetic nature of design. Engineering students conduct experiments in laboratories and study technical fields.
2. Computer Science
As the term suggests, it is a computer-centered field. This means that the general curriculum encompasses mainly programming and computer languages; you learn how to use such languages to write new programs and further develop software. In simple terms, you won’t have many essays.
Computer scientists write mainly on computers and in code. Sure, they might write a couple of lab reports or essays, but primarily, they write little pieces of code for computers, solve mathematical equations, and develop applications.
But beware: fewer essays do not necessarily make studying computer science a breeze. NSF reports that 30% to 50% of undergraduate students studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics subjects, including computer science, math, science, and technology) fields never actually finish their degrees. 3. Fashion Design
Fashion Design is one of the most accessible courses for international students who are creative and passionate about fashion. This subject is very visual and hands-on. You will sketch, draw, drape, and work on textile selection. Students will be taken through the theory, concepts, and history of fashion design.
4. Mathematics
Mathematics is the science of numbers. The amazing thing about getting a degree in mathematics is that you are not required to write an essay, so it is excellent for students who are good with numbers but need to learn English. Mathematics is one of the easiest majors for international students who are good with numbers rather than words.
Mathematics is a good program for students who always wish to calculate things. If you enroll in a math program, you do four years of advanced algebra, calculus, and number theory in college. Everything you will do is about solving problems and working with equations. It is a challenging program, but math is your best option if you like computation.
5. Architecture
Expect to spend several hours in the studio working on the technical and creative skills needed to design logistics for the structures clients require. You must demonstrate that you can conceptualize, plan, problem-solve, or invent ways to create and design. Writing flawless grammar essays is a plus but not required.
Things like lab reports still crop up occasionally, but again, it is nearly impossible to avoid essay writing altogether. If you want to avoid writing completely, you could be an architecture major concentrating on math and science.
Architecture is one of the permutations through which design, mathematics, and science are employed and is centered on relating buildings and other physical structures. In architecture, you are supposed to learn how to design functional and beautiful structures.
Hence, the course content majors in practical design activities, drawing courses, and mathematics modules. Typical course content includes architectural and engineering drawing, calculus, and physics.
6. Business Management
Instead of finance and accounting, the knowledge given by business management is for broader business operations and business management. This course requires a lot from your calculations with numbers regarding the courses in Mathematics and Economics. You will have to write essays but don’t have to be good at English. This skill can be developed through studies to become one of the most accessible courses for non-native English speakers.
