The Chinese Academy of Sciences and The Alliance of National and International Science Organizations for the Belt and Road Regions (CAS-ANSO) scholarship is a program dedicated to providing fully funded aid for international students pursuing Master’s and PhD programs in China.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who gain admission to study at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), or institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

CAS, the leading founding member of ANSO, is the major sponsor of the CAS-ANSO Scholarship. CAS-ANSO, formerly known as the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents, was launched in 2019 with the goal of training and cultivating young scientists from countries around the globe to improve regional and global capacity in science and technology, human livelihoods, and well-being.

The scholarship is divided into two categories: degree program and non-degree program. The degree program supports 100 to 200 Master’s students and 300 PhD students yearly to pursue postgraduate studies at any of the earlier-mentioned Chinese higher institutions.

Applications for the CAS-ANSO Scholarship are open, and students who meet the criteria are welcome to apply for funding for tuition coverage, accommodation, and travel expenses.
