Apply For Uppsala Global Scholarship 2025

Uppsala University was established in 1477, making it the oldest university in Sweden. It is a comprehensive international research institution dedicated to advancing science. Every year, the Uppsala Global Scholarship is available to international students outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland to pursue a master’s degree program at Uppsala University. The scholarship will cover the total tuition fees for graduate studies at the high-ranking university. Financial aid will be given to students who are academically gifted.

There are three main scholarships available at this higher institution:

• The Uppsala University Global Scholarship (Master’s)
• The Anders Wall’s Scholarship (Bachelor’s/Master’s)
• The King Carl Gustaf Scholarship (Master’s)

Applications are currently open for the Uppsala University Global scholarship in Sweden, and candidates outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland are welcome to apply.

Tuition Fees

Students from outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), and Switzerland must pay application and tuition fees in Sweden. The cost of tuition varies between Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Depending on the program, the tuition fee for full-time study ranges from 50,000 to 72,500 SEK per semester.

Eligibility Criteria

For an applicant to be eligible for this program,

• You must apply for a Master’s program and ensure you meet the entry/admission requirements.
• You must be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
• You must demonstrate academic talent and interest in an educational environment.
• You can only be awarded a Uppsala University Global Scholarship for a Master’s program chosen as a priority at Uppsala University.
• You can only be awarded a King Carl Gustaf scholarship for a Master’s program at Uppsala University chosen as the priority.
• You can only be awarded an Anders Wall Scholarship for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at Uppsala University chosen as the priority.
• University Admissions must receive the application fee and your complete supporting documents before the deadline.

Scholarship Benefits

The Scholarships will cover the total cost of tuition for international students at the higher institution. However, it does not include coverage for living expenses.

How to Apply

Application for the 2025 Uppsala University Scholarships starts with;

• Applying for admission to a Master’s program at Uppsala University before the deadline
• After gaining admission, apply for the scholarship between January 16 and Feb.3, 2025.
• The supporting documents submitted during the application for Master’s studies at universityadmissions.se will provide information about an applicant’s academic performance.
• The written motivational letter filled in an applicant’s online scholarship application is considered in the selection process.
• You must meet the entry requirements for the Master’s program you applied for.
• University Admissions must receive the application fee and your complete supporting documents before the deadline.
