The United States
The United States of America, a place where diverse cultures come together, welcomes international students with open arms. USA offers international students scholarship ranging from $11,000 to $17,000 per year, and it is based on academic ability and family need.
The United Kingdom
The United Kingdom is not just welcoming to those who wish to study abroad, it is almost popular destinations for international students. The UK boasts of a diverse population where Africans, Europeans, Asians and other races co-habit. Also, there’s no language barrier as English is the official language in the UK.
Scholarships in the UK typically range between £500 and £5,000 – off your first year’s tuition fees and it is dependent on the university or course of study. If you have an excellent academic performance, you stand a high chance of being a recipient of its scholarships.
Germany
Its free education policy implemented in public universities makes Germany one of the most popular destinations for international students. Under its scholarship programs, foreign students receive a monthly stipend amount of between 150 to 850 Euros per month for a period of 12 months for bachelor’s, diploma and master’s degree.
The German government believes that providing quality and easily accessible education will benefit the economy at a faster pace and development. The country is also at the forefront of major scientific advancements.
New Zealand
One of the reasons New Zealand is ranked among the most friendly countries in the world is because the government has policies in place to encourage diversity and inclusion.
The country is not just welcoming but also offers scholarships that make studying comfortable for international students. Recipients are entitled to full tuition fees as well as living allowance/stipend of NZ$491 per week. Furthermore, the citizens are generally warm, open-minded and quick to make friends with those from other cultures.
Spain
A good number of universities in Spain are ranked among the best in the world, making it one of the most friendly countries for international students.
The scholarships at Spanish universities typically cover full or partial tuition fees for the selected academic program. The country also awards scholarships worth between $500 to $1500 to international students dedicated to learning Spanish. Spaniards love adventure, to explore and try new things, including meeting new people.
France
France subsidizes higher education, making the cost of undergraduate or graduate programs for international students relatively low. Although the official language is French, the country also offers courses in the English language. Non-European students pay an average of €2,770 for a bachelor’s degree and €3,770 for a master’s. Recipients of the schemes usually get a monthly allowance of €1,181 for master’s and a monthly allowance of €1,800 for PhD. Education costs less in France than in the US and UK. Funding is provided to many understudies by the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
Greece
Greece is a popular tourist destination which is gradually joining countries that are ranked as the best in terms of how welcoming they are to international students.
It has 24 public higher education institutions which award Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees in a broad range of scientific disciplines from science, technology, engineering and mathematics to arts and humanities, health sciences, economics and business.
The scholarship grant Greece offers to qualified foreign candidates is up to $11,000 for a year-long program. They include both fully funded and partially funded scholarships and provide an average monthly stipend of $2000 along with tuition fees, accomodation and travel allowance.
Poland
Poland, is one of the European countries that has a friendly international study policy. However, its tuition-free education is available for Polish students, EU and Switzerland citizens while non-European students pay tuition fees which start from €2,000/year.
Canada
When talking about UK or US as top countries that welcome international students, the list will be incomplete if Canada is not included. A friendly country to study in, with citizens who known for their welcoming nature and openness to diversity. Scholarship awards to foreign applicants for graduate and undergraduate programs go for as much as $10,200 for four months or one academic term.
Ireland
Ireland is beautiful and one of the friendliest countries in Europe, and that creates room from people around the world to study at different educational levels. The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship consists of a stipend amounting to €10,000 for one year of full-time study at master’s or PhD level.
Australia
Scholarships in Australia come in the form of an average monthly stipend of AUD 20,000, along with tuition fees, accommodation charges, health insurance, and travel allowance. Australians are known for their laid-back and relaxed attitude, so if you have peace of mind in society.
