1. Macau University of Science and Technology, Macao
Established in 2000, Macau University of Science and Technology is a relatively young university offering courses in social sciences, sciences, law, management, business, medicine, pharmacy, tourism, art, communication, and languages.
The institution has a 91.6% international student population. The university teaches English, Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish to reflect this cohort.
The institution has partnered with more than 200 institutions in Europe, America, Australia, Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong to facilitate student and staff exchange programs.
2. Near East University, Northern Cyprus
Near East University is the largest university in Northern Cyprus. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in architecture, dentistry, fine arts, engineering, veterinary science, law, maritime studies, and performing arts.
With an 86.4% admission rate for international students, the university’s international student office assists with applications and organizes student events on campus. Students from more than 100 nationalities are enrolled at the university.
3. Constructor University, Germany
Constructor University is located in Bremen, Germany. Most of its courses are taught in English, and the percentage of international students is 83.2%.
Students come from more than 110 countries, including India, Nepal, the US, Albania, Pakistan, Morocco, and China. The university also has more than 120 partnerships with other institutions worldwide. Students can choose their program of study from the course catalog or opt for a preselected study track.
4. Eastern Mediterranean University, Northern Cyprus
Eastern Mediterranean University is the second university from Northern Cyprus to feature in the top five. The main languages of instruction at the university are Turkish and English.
The institution organizes student exchange programs in 13 countries, including the US, Canada, Italy, Austria, South Korea, and China.
International students make up 74.8% of the total admissions into the institution, and they can apply for 50% and 25% scholarships.
5. American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
The American University of Sharjah is a relatively small institution with just over 5,000 students, and 73.7% of this student body is international. Some 99 countries are represented on campus, and some of the leading home countries of these students are Egypt, Jordan, and India.
English is the primary teaching language. The university is a member of the Association of American International Colleges and Universities, which delivers higher education based on the American liberal arts model outside the US. The university’s international studies department organizes the annual Model United Nations high school and University conferences yearly.
6. London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in the United Kingdom is one of the foremost social science universities in the world, specializing in a wide range of social science disciplines, including economics, politics, sociology, law, and anthropology.
It was founded in the late 1800s by Fabian Society members Beatrice and Sidney Webb, Graham Wallas, and George Bernard Shaw to better society ‘by studying poverty issues and analyzing inequalities.’
The world-renowned LSE welcomes 71.8% of international students and is home to 9,600 full-time students from 140 countries. It maintains global partnerships with Columbia University in New York, Sciences Po in Paris, Peking University in Beijing, the National University of Singapore, and the University of Cape Town.
7. City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Since CityUHK was established in 1994, various factors have contributed to its success as one of the world’s most dynamic young universities. The institution makes the list because 67.2% of its admissions are international students.
8. Università della Svizzera italiana, Switzerland
Established in 1996, USI is constantly evolving. It takes on new challenges while remaining true to its three guiding principles: quality, openness, and responsibility.
Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI) is one of the 12 certified public universities in Switzerland and a member of Swiss universities. It has a 66.8% admission rate for international students. It is organized into six faculties and is active in several study and research areas, including architecture, communication sciences, computational science, data science, economics, health studies, humanities, informatics, law, medicine, and biomedicine.
3,922 students, 1,008 professors, and researchers from 144 countries convene daily on the four campuses in Lugano, Mendrisio, and Bellinzona.
9. RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Ireland
RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences is a unique institution. Founded in 1784 as the national provider of surgical training in Ireland, it has become one of the world’s leading health sciences universities, with a global reach and operations in Ireland, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences is Ireland’s only specialist health sciences university and the only Surgical Royal College worldwide to offer undergraduate and graduate entry programs in Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Advanced Therapeutic Technologies. The university has 66.6 international students.
10. University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom
Founded in 1908, the University of Bedfordshire, previously Luton College of Higher Education, has roots dating back to Luton Modern School. It is 10th on the list because it has 64.2 percent international students.
Several of the University of Bedfordshire’s health courses occur at its Buckinghamshire campus in Aylesbury. Bedfordshire University graduates are often rated as having good prospects for work or further study. Most of its research output has been considered international standards and quality, and the university operates 11 research institutes.
